All-on-4 Fixed Dental Restoration Within One Week

What brought the patient to our clinic?

Our 60-year-old patient visited us after losing his lower dental bridge. The missing teeth were significantly affecting his daily life, and he was looking for the fastest possible solution—one that would also be long-lasting.

Diagnosis and Proposed Treatment

Following an oral examination and evaluation of a CT scan, Dr. Péter Jancsecz, specialist in dentoalveolar oral surgery, recommended an All-on-4 fixed dental restoration. The condition of the remaining teeth and roots no longer allowed for a bridge-supported prosthesis based on natural teeth. Fortunately, the patient’s bone structure was adequate for immediate implant placement at the time of tooth extraction, as well as for immediate loading with a fixed temporary prosthesis.

With the All-on-4 implant technique, four implants per jaw are placed, enabling the placement of a fixed, temporary dental restoration—sometimes even immediately after surgery.

How did the procedure go?

The implants were placed immediately following the tooth extractions, allowing the patient to undergo all surgical procedures in a single session. After taking impressions, the fabrication of the restorations began in our dental laboratory. The temporary, implant-retained fixed restoration was delivered the week after surgery, enabling the patient to wait comfortably and confidently for full osseointegration of the implants—all while enjoying a stable, fixed set of teeth.
