A tasak tisztítása, akár zárt, akár nyitott elvégezhető korona, illetve hídpótlás viselése mellett.
Ami viszont fontos kérdés, és a fogágy védelme miatt kiemelten fontos, hogy a viselt pótlás tökéletes széli zárású legyen. Amennyiben valahol eláll a korona széle, vagy a tömés széle, úgy az plakkretenciós területnek minősül. Ez azt jelenti, hogy az otthoni tisztítás nem végezhető el rendesen, az ételmaradék, és ezáltal a baktériumok állandóan felhalmozódnak ezeken a területeken. Amennyiben a pótlás pontos, úgy a tisztítás feltételei adottak.
