Pediatric Dentistry
Pediatric dentistry is the branch of dentistry focused on treating and preventing the dental problems of children. This is key, as a healthy dentition during childhood is crucial for the ideal development and long-term health of the permanent dentition. Recognising this, our clinic offers a calm and welcoming environment, where experienced specialists provide gentle and professional care for our youngest patients.
Why should you choose us?
Experienced team
Our team has extensive experience in pediatric dentistry. In addition to performing routine treatments, our specialists have gained in-depth expertise in complex dental procedures requiring advanced skills.
Unmatched expertise
Our pediatric dentists and assistants regularly participate in professional training to ensure their knowledge, techniques, and treatment methods align with the latest standards in paediatric dentistry.
Calm and comfortable environment
Is your child anxious about dental visits? There’s no need to worry! Our patient and caring staff always go the extra mile to ensure even the most nervous children feel at ease during treatment. At Uniklinik, we provide a safe and reassuring environment where every child can feel comfortable.
A good pediatric dentist makes children feel safe
Children often fear unfamiliar situations, such as dental visits. That’s why it’s essential to introduce them to the treatment process beforehand, explaining what will happen in a way they can understand. This approach helps alleviate their anxiety and build confidence.
Good pediatric dentists are more than well-trained dental professionals: they speak the language of children, making sure that their young patients feel safe and comfortable during treatment. Our pediatric dentist, Dr. Diána Adorján, does her best to create a friendly and relaxed atmosphere, where both children and their parents feel at ease discussing any concerns that might come up.
And as a little reward for their bravery, every young patient gets to choose a fun sticker at the end of their visit!

Consultation
During the consultation, our specialists perform the necessary examinations, assess the condition of the gums and teeth, and present the recommended treatment plan.
Price: 10,000 HUF
Standard acclimatisation programme
Our standard acclimatisation programme is designed to introduce young patients to paediatric dental procedures in a playful, step-by-step manner. This approach helps eliminate fear, makes treatment a pleasant experience, and builds trust between the child and the dentist. We recommend this programme in cases where the procedure requires multiple visits.
Price: 22,500 HUF
Filling for primary teeth (milk teeth)
The structure of primary teeth differs significantly from permanent teeth: the pulp chamber is much larger, and the enamel layer is thinner, allowing decay to spread much faster. Treating cavities in baby teeth is essential, as the health of emerging permanent teeth depends on them.
Price: 27,500 HUF
Fissure sealant
Fissure sealing helps prevent tooth decay and the resulting pain. During this procedure, we seal the deep grooves of a child’s newly erupted permanent teeth, reducing the risk of cavities.
Price: 27,500 – 36,500 HUF
Primary tooth extraction
While primary teeth may seem unimportant, they play a crucial role in maintaining space for permanent teeth, ensuring proper chewing function, and contributing to correct speech development. Although they typically fall out naturally around the age of six, in some cases, extraction in a dental clinic may be necessary.
Price: 16,000 HUF
Primary tooth extraction (in difficult cases)
Sometimes, primary teeth remain firmly in place even after the permanent teeth have started emerging because their roots have only partially resorbed. In such cases, a more complex extraction procedure is required. To minimise discomfort, we provide surface anaesthesia followed by an injection to ensure pain-free treatment.
Price: 25,000 HUF
Root canal treatment for primary teeth
A root canal treatment is required when the dental pulp inside a baby tooth becomes inflamed or necrotic, typically due to advanced decay or injury.
Price: from 40,000 HUF
Paediatric tartar removal
Despite careful parental supervision, maintaining perfect oral hygiene can be challenging for children, increasing the risk of tartar formation.
Price: 20,000 – 25,000 HUF
ICON treatment
White spots on tooth enamel are caused by changes in its mineral composition. While primarily an aesthetic issue, they can also indicate the early stages of tooth decay. The ICON treatment not only eliminates these ungainly spots, it also halts the advance of decay without drilling or removing healthy tooth material.

FAQ
Is the extraction of a primary tooth painful?
With proper medical anaesthesia, extracting a primary tooth only causes minimal discomfort. However, it may still be an unpleasant experience for a child. Our experienced team does everything possible to minimise any distress.
Does paediatric dentistry require specialised equipment?
Yes, paediatric dentistry often requires specialised medical instruments. This is primarily because a child’s mouth and teeth are significantly smaller than those of adults.
How much does paediatric orthodontics cost?
The cost of paediatric orthodontic treatment depends on various factors, including the duration of treatment, the type of dental misalignment, and the chosen orthodontic appliance.
At what age is orthodontic treatment recommended for children?
At Uniklinik, our paediatric dentistry and orthodontic specialists accept new patients from the age of 9.
When do primary teeth fall out?
Most children begin losing their primary teeth around the age of 5-6, and the process continues into early adolescence.
How long does paediatric orthodontic treatment take?
Paediatric orthodontic treatment typically lasts between 1 and 3 years. An initial consultation is necessary to estimate the exact duration, as the orthodontist will need to assess the condition of the child’s dentition.
Is it safe to pull out a loose primary tooth at home?
Although pulling out a loose baby tooth may seem simple, we do not recommend doing it at home as it can potentially damage the gums or even the underlying bone tissue. It is always best to entrust the procedure to a professional paediatric dentist.
